China Southern Airlines optimizes flight layout to promote China-Nepal cooperationSpiceJet is expanding its international footprint with the launch of daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Kathmandu, commencing operations on May 10, 2025. The new route will be operated using the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft.
With this addition, SpiceJet continues to build on its growing international network, which already includes major hubs like Dubai and Bangkok. According to airline officials, this latest move reflects SpiceJet’s ongoing strategy to enhance regional connectivity while offering passengers more accessible and cost-effective travel solutions.
The Delhi-Kathmandu service is designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers. For tourists, the route provides seamless access to Kathmandu’s historic landmarks and serves as a starting point for adventures into the Himalayas, including treks to Mount Everest and other iconic destinations.
Flight SG 41 is scheduled to take off from Delhi at 8:10 AM (local time), arriving in Kathmandu by 9:55 AM. The return service, SG 42, will depart Kathmandu at 10:55 AM and land in Delhi at 1:10 PM, all in local times.
Ticket bookings for this new international connection are now live through SpiceJet’s official website, mobile application, and various online travel agencies.
This announcement comes amid a period of accelerated growth for SpiceJet. Domestically, the carrier has launched new routes to cities such as Shivamogga, Tuticorin, Porbandar, and Dehradun. It has also resumed operations to earlier destinations like Gorakhpur, reinforcing its presence across the Indian aviation landscape.
The airline’s financial outlook has also improved significantly. Recent credit rating upgrades from Acuité Ratings & Research Limited and CareEdge Ratings signal increased investor confidence. This momentum has been further supported by a capital infusion of INR 294.09 crore from promoter Ajay Singh.
As SpiceJet strengthens its operations both at home and abroad, the new Delhi-Kathmandu service marks another milestone in its commitment to connecting key cities across South Asia.
